Sports Related Products Featuring Flexpoint Bend Sensors^®   

DRAPER, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Flexpoint Sensor Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:FLXT ) announced they have made significant advances in the development of several sports related products featuring the Company’s patented Bend Sensor(R) technology.  Advanced prototypes have been delivered to our client and successful demonstrations of the products have recently been completed. Currently our client is involved in ongoing discussions and negotiations with several major equipment manufacturers and distributors The Company anticipates that development on one or more of the products could be completed and the product brought to market before the end of the year.

The sports shoes will measure distribution of weight, and weight transfer during the monitored event and will give real time information about the movement of the person, weight transfer and timing.  This can be used in training and may also be used to help people who have little or no feeling in their feet with walking since it can be configured to give some other sensory feedback when the foot hits the ground.

The sensor and technology have also been used for running and bowling shoes and is adaptable to bowling gloves and golf club shafts.  The products will be used to help measure and improve an individual’s performance.  Several prototypes of the shoes, gloves and golf club shafts have been completed and demonstrated to major equipment manufacturers.
