Government Application for Flexpoint Bend Sensor® Technology
April 7, 2010 8:00 AM ET
DRAPER, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Flexpoint Sensor Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:FLXT )
today announced they are working with a US Military organization on the development of an application for the Company’s patented technology.
Preliminary demonstrations of the technology in this application have recently been successfully completed by the organization and they are currently involved
in ongoing advanced testing. We are involved in discussions which we anticipate will lead to the parties entering into a joint development and production agreement.
When the advanced testing is successfully completed, Flexpoint will receive funding from the Government and a joint development agreement for completion of the concept.
The testing is scheduled to be completed by late summer of this year.
“While neither the nature of the application or the military entity can be disclosed at this time, I believe that it is an important development that could lead
to significant future production and could also lead to the development of additional uses for our unique technology. This application is particularly exciting because it
is outside of the normal field of use for our technology,” stated Clark Mower, President of Flexpoint Sensor Systems.
Mower also indicated that the Company expects to file the annual 10-K
report with the SEC later this week.
